This herb was recommended to me postpartum by a doula after a miscarriage. The directions say to steep for 10 minutes, but I had been directed to decoct as this dried herb has some woodsy parts in it. The batch I received is mostly leaf, but does have a good amount of stems and woodsy parts. I decided to decoct it. This made a very bitter tea, and likely would have been less so if I had only steeped it. I take herbs for the medicine though, so I trust this is good quality based on the strong taste alone. The color of the herb is still very vibrant and has a fresh aroma. Happy with this purchase!
