Generally Prepared:
Valerian root is most commonly prepared as a capsule, tea, tincture or flower essence.
Prepare a tea decoction by cutting or chopping the root then adding 1 heaping tablespoon per eight ounces of hot water. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
The tincture is generally prepared in a ratio of 1:3, root to fluid solvent.
Usually Prepared With:
Valerian root is commonly combined with Hops, Lobelia, Passion Flower and Wild Lettuce.
