What are benefits of Chamomile?

Chamomile is a household name the world over (as a tea), known for it’s soothing effect upon the nerves and for its gentle cure for upset stomachs. It would be hard to find a cafe in North America that does not have chamomile tea on its menu. An infusion of chamomile in a bath is a great remedy for skin irritations of all sorts, or it can be applied topically to wounds with a soaked cotton ball because of its antibacterial qualities. The predominating adjective for chamomile is “soothing.” Considering this, it is no surprise that chamomile soothes many other ailments such as muscle spasms including menstrual cramps.

How do you consume Chamomile?

The most common way to consume chamomile by far is through a tea infusion. It can be mixed with other herbs for desired taste or medicinal effect.
