What is Guasima?
Native to Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean, this medium sized, flowering tree grows up to 30m in height.
Benefits of Guasima
A drink composed of crushed seeds blended in water is used to treat diarrhea, dysentery, colds, coughs, contusions, and venereal disease. It is rich in vitamin C which helps accelerate and repair as well as maintain body tissue, and it is also rich in vitamin E - an antioxidant - which protects free radicals from damaging body tissues. Guasima is also rich in minerals such as magnesium which is good for anxiety and general pain-relief.
